# Adding new users

> Keeping your target list current, and spotting users who cannot be phished.

The platform needs minimal upkeep, but occasionally you will need to update data or change
existing settings.

## Active Directory

Users sync daily. Anybody added to the synced group is added automatically. Nothing to do.

## CSV

Add users either by importing a new file, or with the **Add person** button under **Manage
your data**.

| How many users | Best method |
| - | - |
| A handful | Add person, entering the data manually |
| More than five | Run the import wizard again |

Running the wizard again is much faster than it was the first time, because of the historical
mapping of your data.

<Note>
  Tags for new users need to be mapped as well. If a new user has the same information as an
  existing one, we map the correct tags automatically. If they bring a data point that has
  not been imported before, such as a new function title, that needs mapping manually.
</Note>

## Insufficient data

After uploading targets, whether by AD or CSV, check the **Manage your data** tab.

Targets with insufficient data are flagged with a red exclamation mark. This means the
target is missing one of the required fields, Country or Language, and therefore **cannot
receive phishing emails at all**.

Hover over the icon to see which field is missing. Scrolling to the right, the required
fields turn orange.

<Tip>
  Worth checking after every import. A user missing a Language tag is silently absent from
  your campaign, which quietly skews your results.
